What we did?

The apartment lies within Antrim Mansions, a complex of residential buildings dating from 1897 with its characteristic repeated bays, central entrances, balconies at 1st floors and gables above. This 1st-floor apartment has not been modernized since the middle part of the 20th century and the client’s brief was to bring a modern setting to what was once impressive mansion block apartment.

We improved the functionality of the apartment by significantly changing it’s layout to reflect the needs of contemporary residents. Rooms are reconfigured, a kitchen was moved from the back of the property to create an inviting open plan kitchen-living space at the front overlooking the street. A master bedroom with en-suite was placed at the back to provide users with peace and quiet. Character features were preserved and refurbished.
